API SPEC 5CT
API SPEC 5CT is a standard issued by the American Petroleum Institute on the oil casing, the world is mainly used for oil pipes, tubing and casing.
API SPEC 5CT specifies the technical delivery conditions for steel pipes (bushings, pipes, flat ends and short sections) and accessories.
API SPEC 5CT establishes three product specification levels, PSL1, PSL2, and PSL3, where the requirements of PSL1 are the basis for API SPEC 5CT.
This standard is applicable to the following connections in accordance with ISO 10422 or API Spec 5B:
- short round thread casing (STC);
- long round thread casing (LC);
- buttress thread casing (BC);
- extreme-line casing (XC);
- non-upset tubing (NU);
- external upset tubing (EU);
- integral joint tubing (IJ).
