SUSXM7 Stainless Steel
SUSXM7, low-carbon, low-nitrogen, low-sulfur, is a deformed steel grade of SUS304, with high copper content and easy to form. It is generally used for products with high deformation such as hexagon sockets, carriage screws, and self-tapping screws.

Comparison of SUSXM7 stainless steel and 302HQ stainless steel
SUSXM7 stainless steel is similar to 302HQ stainless steel in terms of chemical composition specifications. Due to price reasons, it appears as a substitute for 302HQ, but there are still differences in actual use.
 
The main performance is that SUSXM7 stainless steel has stronger magnetism than real 302HQ stainless steel, and its processing performance is quite different in small diameter. For example, it is best to use real Nippon Steel 302HQ stainless steel when processing small screws for glasses. Of course, if the requirements are not very strict, XM7 is still a good choice.
The chemical composition difference between SUSXM7 and SUS302HQ is mainly in some trace elements. From the main composition of stainless steel wire, their specifications are very similar, basically there is no difference.
In actual use, a judgment can be made in terms of magnetism and processing performance, but this requires experience. If you want to make a clear conclusion, it is best to do material testing. Because the main components of XM7 stainless steel and 302HQ stainless steel are similar, many manufacturers call XM7 also 302HQ.
