GB / T699 Grade 40 Steel
GB / T699 Grade 40 Steel
GB / T699 Grade 40 Steel is a high-quality carbon steel in China.
Material name: No. 40 steel unified digital code: U20402
Standard: GB / T 699-1999
GB / T699 Grade 40 Steel features and applications
GB / T699 Grade 40 Steel has high strength, good machinability, moderate cold deformation ability, poor weldability, no temper brittleness, low hardenability, and easy to generate water quenching crack.
GB / T699 Grade 40 Steel is mostly used in quenched and tempered or normalized state. The overall performance of the two is similar. It can be used to manufacture parts with greater stress after surface quenching. It is suitable for manufacturing crankshaft mandrel, transmission shaft, piston rod, connecting rod, sprocket, gear, etc. It needs to be preheated before welding. Slow cooling after welding.
GB / T 699 Grade 40 Steel Chemical composition
Note: The content of steel and copper for hot-press processing should not be greater than 0.20%;
Delivery status
(1) Steel bars are usually delivered in hot rolled or hot forged state.
(2) According to the requirements of the purchaser and stated in the contract, the steel rod can be delivered in the state of heat treatment (annealing, normalizing, high temperature tempering).
(3) According to the requirements of the purchaser and stated in the contract, the steel rod can be delivered in a special surface condition (pickling, shot blasting, peeling or polishing).
GB / T 699 Grade 35 Steel Mechanical Properties
The sample is a round steel with a diameter of 25mm
