GB/T 699 Grade 15 Steel
GB/T 699 Grade 15 Steel
GB/T 699 Grade 15 Quality carbon structure steel.
Standard: GB / T 699
Grade: Grade 15 Steel
GB / T 699 Grade 15 Steel The content of "S" and "P" impurities in high-quality carbon structural steel is lower than that of ordinary carbon structural steel, generally below 0.035% (mass fraction). According to the low carbon content, it can be divided into low carbon steel, medium carbon steel and high carbon steel; according to the different manganese content, it can be divided into two types: ordinary manganese content and higher manganese content.
Characteristics of GB / T 699 Grade 15 Steel
GB / T 699 Grade 15 Steel has high plasticity and toughness. Because of its low carbon content (between 0.12-0.18%), Grade 15 Steel has lower strength and hardness. Grade 15 Steel has good forging, welding and cold stamping properties and high cold deformation plasticity, but it is not easy to obtain a smooth surface during cutting.
Application of GB / T 699 Grade 15 Steel
GB / T 699 Grade 15 Steel is used to manufacture parts and carburized parts with low stress and high toughness requirements, fasteners and die forgings, and low-load parts without heat treatment, such as bolts, screws, tie bars, methods Lanpan and chemical tanks, steam boilers, etc.
Due to the low carbon content of GB / T 699 Grade 15 Steel, it is difficult to heat-treat parts made of such materials to increase their hardness. It needs to be heated to more than 1100 ° C. The general barium salt bath furnace cannot be processed, and it needs to be heated by a high temperature nitrate bath furnace.
Chemical composition of GB / T 699 Grade 15 Steel
Note: The content of steel and copper for hot-press processing should not be greater than 0.20%;
Delivery status
Steel bars are usually delivered in hot rolled or hot forged condition.
GB / T 699 Grade 15 Steel Mechanical Properties
The sample is a round steel with a diameter of 25mm
